Cindy L. Luu, M.D.

Cindy is the senior project manager of Winvest Investment Company, L.L.C., a family-owned investment and holding company. Winvest owns and operates The Super 88 Market, the leading Asian supermarket chain in New England, Chau Chou City Restaurant, Evergreen Import & Export, and a real estate development group. Winvest is also involved in several investment projects in Vietnam. As the senior project manager, Cindy is involved in leading projects to establish processes to improve the operations of the supermarkets and distribution center to enable further expansion. She is also involved in identifying and evaluating investment opportunities for the company.

Before joining Winvest in March 2004, Cindy was an associate at Boston University Health Care Entrepreneurship Program, a business development group. In that capacity, she was responsible for identifying and evaluating health-care related business opportunities, with a focus on medical devices, health IT, and health services. She served as a liaison to entrepreneurs and the investment community. She also coordinates the elective in health care entrepreneurship for fourth-year medical students.

Cindy graduated from University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2001. In 1997 Cindy received an M.B.A. degree from Boston University Graduate School of Management in the health care management program. She graduated with honors from Tufts University in 1995. Cindy grew up in Malden, MA and graduated from Malden High School as the valedictorian of the Class of 1991.

Cindy was born in Vietnam but grew up in Malden, MA. She and her family fled Vietnam in 1978 and entered Boston in 1979. She currently lives in Wilmington, MA with her husband and two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing golf and tennis, and doing home improvement projects.
